Tata Motors Workers Union Election: 128 Nomination Papers Filed

JAMSHEDPUR – The election process for the Tata Motors Workers Union at the Jamshedpur plant is underway. As per the schedule, the submission of nomination papers was held on Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A total of 128 nomination papers were filed smoothly, out of 137 forms distributed the previous day.

A notice was also published on Friday, informing candidates that sample ballot papers would be available for observation on November 25 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the central director’s office. This facility is open to all candidates. The election is being conducted under the supervision of Chief Election Officer Chidanand Khandait.

Notably, no nominations have been filed against the current President, Gurmit Singh Tota, and General Secretary, RK Singh. This makes their re-election almost certain, though official confirmation will follow after the completion of the electoral process.

The election highlights the smooth functioning of the union’s democratic process and reflects the confidence in the existing leadership.
