JAMSHEDPUR – A hit-and-run accident near TCI Pump on NH-33 in Chandil left Dulal Singh, 35, critically injured late Sunday evening.

Singh, a resident of Asanbani under the Chandil police station area, was returning home on his motorcycle after shopping at the Chilgu market when an unidentified vehicle struck him.

The collision left Singh lying on the road for a considerable time until passersby spotted him and rushed him to MGM Hospital.

Upon being informed, his family arrived at the hospital.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Singh was referred to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) for advanced treatment.

Singh, a daily wage laborer, remains in critical condition as doctors continue to monitor his recovery.

Police are actively investigating the incident and have launched a search for the unidentified vehicle involved in the collision.

Residents have raised concerns about the increasing number of hit-and-run cases on NH-33, urging authorities to implement stricter measures for road safety.
