JAMSHEDPUR – The tenth edition of Samvaad, India’s premier tribal identity celebration, is set to commence from November 15-19, 2024, at Gopal Maidan.

The festival will begin with a tribute to Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda through the resonating sounds of 351 nagadas, representing diverse tribal traditions.

This milestone year marks Samvaad’s entry into its second decade of celebrating tribal heritage.

Dr. Meena Murmu, head of the tribal culinary division, states, “This year’s addition of 40 new home cooks represents our commitment to preserving and promoting tribal culinary heritage.”

The festival will showcase fusion dishes incorporating medicinal herbs in the special hospitality zone.

Visitors can order traditional tribal dishes through Zomato’s ‘Menu of the Day’ feature throughout the festival period.

The ‘Rhythms of the Earth’ collective, comprising 75 tribal musicians, will unveil their second album in collaboration with Ladakh-based band ‘Da Shugs’.
