NIT Jamshedpur Hosts Industry-Academia Conclave Focused on Vision 2047

JAMSHEDPUR – The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur will host an industry-academia conclave from November 15 to 17, 2024, at its Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex, focusing on the vision for India’s future progress.

The three-day conclave will serve as a collaborative platform bringing together academic experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and students to discuss pressing challenges and solutions for India’s growth.

This second edition of the conclave is themed “Developed India – Developed Jharkhand: 2047,” aligning with India’s centennial progress goals.

NIT Jamshedpur’s Director, Professor Dr. Gautam Sutradhar, emphasized that the event’s purpose is to support India’s journey towards a self-sustaining and advanced economy by 2047.

Representatives from major Indian institutions, including IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Patna, and several NITs such as Mizoram, Raipur, Agartala, and Nagaland, will participate in the event.

Inauguration and Key Guests

Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar is set to inaugurate the conclave as the chief guest.

The event’s theme highlights a forward-looking plan to foster a thriving economy, with Jharkhand as a significant contributor.

Industry leaders are expected to exchange ideas on creating sustainable solutions, with discussions aimed at integrating academic research with real-world industrial needs.

Leading Indian corporations, including Tata Steel, NTPC, Greeko, Power Grid Corporation, GAIL, BCCL, Coal India, and ONGC, are among the event’s industry partners.

The event has secured sponsorship from publishing houses and financial institutions, including Elsevier, Springer-Nature, Cambridge Press, Taylor & Francis, SBI, Canara Bank, and HDFC.

Dr. Sutradhar remarked, “This conclave will help bridge the gap between academia and industry to develop impactful solutions for India’s progress.”

By convening experts across industries, the conclave seeks to tackle industrial challenges and promote innovative solutions to accelerate India’s growth trajectory toward 2047.
