RANCHI – The upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections showcase significant wealth concentration with 71 crorepati candidates contesting across 43 constituencies.
Congress candidate KN Tripathi emerges as the wealthiest contestant with assets over Rs 70.91 crore.
Moreover, Congress dominates the top-five richest candidates list in this electoral phase.
Meanwhile, AJSU’s Dinesh Chandra Boipai represents the lowest declared assets at Rs 25.66 lakh.
Furthermore, JMM has fielded 18 crorepati candidates across 23 contested seats.
However, BJP leads individual parties with 30 wealthy candidates in the race.
In addition, the elections feature 18 lakhpati candidates from various political alliances.
On the other hand, smaller NDA partners have contributed six crorepati candidates collectively.
