JAMSHEDPUR – NDA candidate Saryu Roy declared that, if victorious on November 23, he will use bulldozers to open the closed road in Kadma the very next day. He also urged authorities to ensure fair elections and warned of complaints to the Election Commission if they fail to act.
Roy’s Promise of Immediate Road Action
Speaking to supporters on Friday, Saryu Roy announced that should he win the upcoming assembly seat in Western Jamshedpur, he will prioritize opening the long-blocked road in Kadma on November 24. The issue, he stated, has been a longstanding one affecting local residents, and he is determined to address it swiftly.
Roy added that he expects transparent elections and will approach the Election Commission if this expectation is not met. “We demand transparency from the administration to ensure fair elections,” Roy emphasized.
Accusations Against Congress for Grounds Bookings
Roy accused Congress of booking most public grounds in the city, allegedly to prevent his campaign events from proceeding smoothly. He explained that when his team arrived at the Ganesh Puja grounds for a rally setup, they were informed that Congress had already booked it. According to Roy, this appears to be part of a deliberate tactic by Congress to obstruct his campaign activities.
In response, Roy stated he spoke directly with the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum to urge that election neutrality be maintained, and he called for corrective action.
Charges Against Banna Gupta and Public Support
Roy also leveled accusations against his opponent, Banna Gupta, claiming Gupta has been rallying with the support of local criminals. He alleged that criminals have appeared at Gupta’s gatherings, supported by photo evidence published in the media. Roy claimed he had raised this concern with the district’s Senior Superintendent of Police twice, but there had been no arrests.
In addition, Roy promised to reinstall a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at the Aam Bagan site, noting that it had been previously removed. “If elected, I will ensure that Netaji’s statue is reinstalled at Aam Bagan,” he assured.
