BJP Leader Himanta Biswa Sarma Admits Tough Contest Ahead in Jharkhand Polls

BJP Leader’s candid assessment contrasts with state leaders’ confident stance

Key Points:

• BJP’s co-incharge acknowledges challenging electoral battle in Jharkhand

• Party announces 40 star campaigners including PM Modi and top leaders

• BJP-led alliance to contest all 81 seats with regional partners

RANCHI – BJP’s Jharkhand poll co-incharge Himanta Biswa Sarma has acknowledged the upcoming assembly elections as a challenging contest.

The Assam Chief Minister’s admission marks a departure from other BJP leaders’ optimistic predictions.

Meanwhile, the party has formed alliances with AJSU, JD(U), and LJP for the elections.

Furthermore, BJP will contest 68 seats while allocating remaining constituencies to alliance partners.

Moreover, the party has unveiled a list of 40 prominent campaign leaders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi heads the list of star campaigners.

Additionally, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh will join the campaign trail.

However, most constituencies will witness direct fights between ruling coalition and NDA alliance.

Meanwhile, CPI-ML candidates maintain ambiguity about their alliance with the ruling coalition.

The two-phase elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20.

Vote counting will take place on November 23.
