Two Pilgrims Hurt as Truck Reverses Without Lights on Palamu Highway

MEDININAGAR – A devastating collision between a car and a truck on National Highway 98 in Palamu district has left two women pilgrims with serious injuries.
A Renault car bearing registration number JH 05 E 8304 collided with a heavy truck at the Udaygadh turn.
Meanwhile, the truck driver had been reversing the vehicle without any lights on the four-lane highway.
Moreover, the incident occurred near Chattarpur when the victims were traveling to Ayodhya for a religious pilgrimage.
However, a local resident stated that other passengers in the car escaped without injuries.
In addition, the injured women were identified as Devanti Devi, 55, and Rajpati Devi from Jamune area.
Furthermore, three local youths – Ranjit Yadav, Vikas Prajapati, and Jamshed Alam – transported the victims to hospital.
On the other hand, the car was being driven by Ajay Kumar Sao when the accident occurred.
