Assam CM Himanta Sarma Meets LJP Leader in Ranchi Ahead of Polls

RANCHI – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the BJP’s in-charge for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, met Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) state president Birendra Pradhan at his residential office in Doranda, Ranchi.

The meeting, which lasted for about 30 minutes, was focused on strengthening ties between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally LJP (Ram Vilas) as the election campaign picks up pace.

Following the discussion, Sarma personally accompanied Pradhan to a joint press conference held at the BJP office.

In attendance at the meeting were several key political figures, including LJP’s Jamui MP and state in-charge Arun Bharti.

During the meeting, Sarma highlighted the significance of the LJP as a crucial ally in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

He expressed that the BJP is committed to working closely with its partners to ensure a strong electoral performance.

“Our ally LJP plays an important role in our coalition, and we believe in moving forward with all partners united,” a senior BJP source said, emphasizing the importance of alliance coordination ahead of the elections.

Chirag Paswan, leader of the LJP, has been announced as a star campaigner for the NDA in Jharkhand.

He is expected to campaign in several constituencies across the state.

Party sources confirmed that this move is aimed at mobilizing the NDA voter base, especially in areas where LJP holds influence.

Other prominent attendees included BJP state vice president Aditya Vijay Pradhan, Kisan Morcha state president Pramod Singh, BJP state spokesperson Umesh Tiwari, and heads of various party cells.

The gathering marked a significant moment in the pre-election alliances as the BJP seeks to secure its position in Jharkhand with strong backing from the LJP.
