Jamshedpur Police Solve Murder Case in Parsudih with Swift Action, Arrests Made

In the Parsudih area, police quickly solved the murder case of Vijay Sahu, who was shot dead by unknown assailants on October 4, 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – Police in Parsudih have swiftly resolved the murder of Vijay Sahu, who was killed by gunfire on the evening of October 4, 2024, near Haludbani Namotola.

Following the murder, Parsudih police registered case number 136/24 on October 5 under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.

Taking the case seriously, a special task force was formed under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Law and Order, Mohammad Tauqeer Alam.

With the help of technical support and confidential information, police identified the culprits involved in the crime.

Two main suspects, Vipin Kumar Sahu alias Bodra and Akash Kumar Prasad, were detained for questioning.

During interrogation, both suspects confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of the pistol used in the murder from Akash Kumar Prasad.

One police official involved in the case stated, “The rapid identification and apprehension of the suspects was made possible due to the coordinated efforts of our task force and the use of modern investigative techniques.”

Additionally, the scooter used by Vipin Kumar Sahu during the crime was also seized.

The police later arrested the mastermind of the conspiracy, Santosh Kumar Singh alias Bablu Singh, who was previously involved in another case of assault at Parsudih police station.

"The arrest of Bablu Singh was crucial," said an investigating officer. "He had been a known troublemaker in the area, and this time his involvement was clear from the evidence."

The police confiscated a blue and black Access scooter, an iron country-made pistol, OnePlus and Realme mobile phones, and a Maruti Suzuki Ignis car from the suspects.

The investigation team, which included several senior police officers such as Deputy Superintendent Mohammad Tauqeer Alam, Parsudih Station House Officer Mohammad Faiz Ahmed, and other officials, acted quickly to solve the murder case.

Their efforts led to the breakthrough within days of the crime.
