JAMSHEDPUR – Vijay Sahu, a liquor businessman, was shot dead near Namotola in Parsudih, Jamshedpur, shortly after filing multiple complaints with the police about ongoing harassment near his shop.

Despite visiting the Parsudih police station twice that day, Sahu received no action or response.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailant shot Sahu at close range, hitting him in the head.

He was rushed to Sadar Hospital by local residents but was declared dead on arrival.

The murder has ignited anger within the community, as residents claim Sahu had been involved in ongoing disputes with local criminals, yet police failed to intervene.

Sources allege that the shooter was a known criminal, who fled the scene after the attack.

The police are now actively investigating the case, with both Parsudih and Sundarnagar police officers on the scene.

DSP Md. Taukir Alam stated, "We are investigating the motive behind this murder and working to bring the perpetrators to justice."

The family and local community are demanding swift justice, pointing to police negligence as a contributing factor.
