16-Year-Old Girl Killed, Youth Injured in Jamshedpur Car-Bike Collision

A severe collision between a car and a bike near Tinplate Golchakkar left a 16-year-old girl dead and her companion critically injured.

JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening near Tinplate Golchakkar in the Golmuri police station area, where a car collided with a bike, killing a 16-year-old girl and leaving a young man critically injured.

The deceased, Nitika Kumari, a resident of Old Cable Town, Golmuri, was riding on the bike with her companion, Shubham Mukhi, a resident of Sonari’s Tilu Bhatta area.

Nitika, a student at Women’s College, died on the spot, while Shubham, a security guard by profession, was severely injured and rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) for treatment.

The girl’s body has been placed in the hospital mortuary, and her family will proceed with the post-mortem on Sunday.

According to sources, Nitika and Shubham had been in a relationship for the past year, and their families were aware of it.

The couple had plans to marry, and Shubham regularly took Nitika for evening bike rides.

On Saturday evening, while out on one such ride, their bike collided head-on with a car.

The impact was fatal for Nitika, while Shubham’s condition remains critical.

Police have seized the car involved in the crash and taken it to Golmuri police station for further investigation.
