JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Shikha Rani becomes the first woman to lead MGM Medical College Hospital as its new superintendent.

The state government’s joint secretary, Lalit Mohan Shukla, issued the notification for her appointment.

Dr. Rani will assume her new role as superintendent on Saturday.

Previously, she served as a professor in MGM’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

Notably, the order does not mention the status of the current superintendent, Dr. Ravindra Kumar.

In her new position, Dr. Rani aims to prioritize patient care and facility improvements.

She plans to convene a meeting with all department heads to develop a comprehensive strategy.

This historic appointment marks a significant milestone for women in leadership at MGM.
