PM Visit Prompts Traffic Restrictions in Jamshedpur

Two-Day Regulations Set for September 15-16 During Modi’s Stay

JAMSHEDPUR – Authorities have announced comprehensive traffic regulations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit, affecting vehicle movement throughout the city on September 15 and 16.

The Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and Traffic DSP have jointly issued these directives.

On September 15, most vehicles will be prohibited from 6 AM until 4 PM.

However, heavy vehicle restrictions will extend from 6 AM to 11 PM on both days.

Alternate routes have been designated to minimize public inconvenience during this period.

Vehicles from Parsudih to Bistupur and Sakchi should use Jemco via Salgajhari or Barigoda.

Meanwhile, those traveling from Potka to Bistupur-Mango will be redirected through Seraikela.

This route will utilize the Adityapur Toll Bridge and Marine Drive.

DSP Traffic Sanjay Singh announced these measures, urging public cooperation.

Residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid congestion.

The restrictions aim to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Prime Minister’s program.

Normal heavy vehicle movement will resume after 11 PM on both days.

On the other hand, lighter vehicles can operate freely after 4 PM on September 15.

These measures highlight the extensive preparations for the high-profile visit.

Authorities stress the importance of following guidelines to maintain order during the event.

In addition, the restrictions underscore the significant impact of the Prime Minister’s visit.

The city’s traffic patterns will be substantially altered for nearly two full days.
