Key Points:

– Singhbhum Chamber requests PM Modi to focus on Jamshedpur’s development.

– Demands include an airport, higher education, and better healthcare facilities.

– The Chamber seeks direct rail connectivity between Tatanagar and Jaipur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce has reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to address several infrastructural deficiencies to help Jamshedpur evolve into a fully developed metropolitan city.

In an email to the Prime Minister, Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka and Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia highlighted that Jamshedpur, a city with over 100 years of history and known as a "mini India," still lacks critical infrastructure needed for its development.

Despite its diverse and educated population, the city has lagged behind other metropolises due to certain fundamental shortcomings.

Moonka pointed out that Jamshedpur lacks an airport, which hampers its connectivity and growth.

The city also faces challenges in providing higher education and advanced medical facilities, forcing residents to seek these services in other cities.

Additionally, there has been no establishment of major public sector or government companies in the area, which limits industrial growth and job creation.

Another significant issue raised was the absence of direct train service from Tatanagar to Jaipur, which has caused inconvenience for the Rajasthani community that has been residing in the city for decades.

The Chamber’s leadership collectively appealed to the Prime Minister to address these issues urgently.

They requested the establishment of an airport in Jamshedpur, enhancement of higher education and healthcare facilities, investment from large industrial enterprises, and the creation of major government-run factories.

Moreover, they emphasized the need for a direct rail link between Tatanagar and Jaipur to ease travel for the residents.

The Chamber’s vice-presidents, including Anil Modi, Advocate Rajiv Agarwal, Puneet Kanwatia, Abhishek Agarwal Goldie, Secretary Bharat Makani, and others, also supported these demands, urging the Prime Minister to take immediate steps to transform Jamshedpur into a modern metropolitan city.
