BJP Leaders Slam Hemant Soren Government Over ‘Surveillance’ on Champai Soren

BJP’s Babulal Marandi, Arjun Munda, and Dineshanand Goswami demand probe into surveillance allegations against Hemant Soren government.

The issue of alleged surveillance on former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has sparked strong reactions from BJP leaders, who have sharply criticized the Hemant Soren government.

JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leaders have launched a scathing attack on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of ordering surveillance on former Chief Minister Champai Soren to secure his power.

BJP state party chief Babulal Marandi accused Hemant Soren of “following in the footsteps of Aurangzeb” by spying on Champai Soren.

Marandi said, “Hemant Soren, following in the footsteps of Aurangzeb, has crossed all limits for power. Just like Aurangzeb imprisoned his father Shah Jahan for power, Hemant Soren is trying to secure his rule by spying on Champai Soren, who is like a father figure to him.”

He further alleged that the Hemant government is misusing the police machinery for surveillance not just on opposition leaders and cabinet ministers, but also on judges.

“I demand an investigation into this serious matter by a committee led by a sitting judge of the Jharkhand High Court,” Marandi added.

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Arjun Munda also criticized the Hemant Soren-led government for its alleged ‘snooping’ activities.

Expressing his shock, Munda stated, “It is surprising to hear that the Jharkhand Chief Minister is spying on the former Chief Minister and his respected minister Champai Soren. Two police officers from Jharkhand were caught in Delhi in connection with this spying case. This is a sign of moral degradation.”

Former BJP state president Dr. Dineshanand Goswami also condemned the Hemant Soren government on this issue, calling it a grave violation of security and privacy.

He said, “Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s continuous insult of senior JMM leader, founding member, and former Chief Minister Champai Soren is an act that hurts the dignity and honor of the tribal community.”

Goswami added, “The Hemant Soren government spying on Champai Soren through the Special Branch is not only against the law and the Constitution, but it also reveals how far the Chief Minister is willing to go to suppress his opponents. The people of Jharkhand are now aware of the truth about the Hemant Soren government, and they will certainly teach the JMM alliance a lesson in the upcoming elections.”

The BJP leaders’ strong reactions indicate the seriousness of the allegations and the potential political fallout in Jharkhand.
