MLA highlights Rs 156 crore development projects, addresses key issues

JAMSHEDPUR – MLA Saryu Roy addressed over 2000 party workers at Sidhgora Town Hall, preparing them for upcoming assembly elections.

Roy praised workers’ dedication during the Corona pandemic, recalling his office’s transformation into a food distribution center.

The MLA highlighted over Rs 156 crore in development projects across various departments during his tenure.

Post-Corona infrastructure improvements include extended water and electricity services to areas outside Tata Steel’s lease.

A new water treatment plant for Bhuinyandih, Lalbhatta, and Babudih was among the significant developments mentioned.

Roy announced Phase-2 of the Moharda Water Supply Scheme, proposing direct sourcing from Chandil Dam.

The need for a legal municipality in Jamshedpur was emphasized, criticizing the current system’s entanglement with JNAC.

Land ownership issues were addressed, with Roy urging the government to overturn a 2018 notification on land leases.

A drain-based development plan was proposed to transform Jamshedpur into a model city for cleanliness.

Roy called for special funds from the Urban Development Department and Tata Steel for sanitation improvements.

The MLA concluded by urging Congress leaders to scrutinize their government and support his vision for Jamshedpur.
