Independence Day ceremony marks launch of free OPD services and hospital discounts

Jamshedpur Press Club announces groundbreaking medical benefits for local journalists and their families on Independence Day.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Press Club of Jamshedpur unveiled a new initiative providing medical benefits to its members during the 78th Independence Day celebration.

Club President Sanjeev Sharma hoisted the national flag at Quarter No. 5, Sakchi Amanat Road, kicking off the special program.

The ceremony included the singing of the national anthem, followed by Sharma’s address to the assembled members.

In a significant announcement, Sharma revealed the introduction of free OPD and check-up services for club members and their dependents.

This initiative also includes fixed discounts at various hospitals and nursing homes across the city.

The medical benefits program marks a first for journalists in Jamshedpur, addressing a long-standing need in the community.

Sharma updated members on ongoing club activities during his speech.

He reported on a recent meeting with Minister Banna Gupta regarding office allocation, with the minister promising a resolution within two days.

The event saw attendance from key club officials, including former General Secretary Gulab Singh and current General Secretary Vikas Srivastava.

Other notable attendees were Treasurer Manman Pandey, Vice President Sumit Jha, and Joint Secretary Ved Prakash Gupta.

Senior members such as Kulwinder Singh and Nirmal Prasad were also present at the celebration.
