Depression Suspected as Cause in Tragic Incident

A 36-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Bawangoda, Parsudih area of Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a heartbreaking incident, a woman reportedly took her own life by hanging herself in her residence in the Bawangoda locality of Parsudih, Jamshedpur.

The deceased, identified as G Mahato, was discovered in an adjacent room of her house on Tuesday morning.

Family members alerted the police, who arrived at the scene promptly.

Authorities have sent the body for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to sources close to the family, G Mahato had been married for 17 years and had been struggling with depression due to her inability to conceive.

"She had been living with her husband and in-laws, but the pressure of being childless seemed to weigh heavily on her," a neighbor reportedly stated.

The incident has sparked discussions about mental health awareness and the societal pressures faced by women in the region.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy and awaiting the post-mortem report for further insights.

The local community has been left shocked by the incident, with many calling for better mental health support services in the area.
