Rajesh Sahu, a scrap dealer from Jugsalai, was fatally hit by a train near Dukhu Market. The incident occurred while he was crossing the railway tracks.
JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic incident occurred near Dukhu Market in the Jugsalai police station area, where a man was hit by a train and died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Sahu, 45, a resident of Jugsalai Naya Bazaar.
Following the incident, the police, with the assistance of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), transported the body to MGM Hospital.
The doctors took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Rajesh Sahu’s son, Raj Sahu, reported that his father was in the scrap business.
As usual, Rajesh had gone to his scrap shop on Tuesday.
He was returning home around 11 PM when the accident occurred.
While crossing the railway tracks near Dukhu Market, Rajesh was hit by a train.
The RPF informed the family late at night, stating that Rajesh had sustained a head injury and had been admitted to MGM Hospital.
The family was told to visit the hospital on Wednesday morning.
Upon arrival at MGM Hospital, the family discovered that Rajesh had already passed away.
According to the family, it was an accident.
Eyewitnesses reported that while Rajesh was crossing the tracks, trains approached from both directions, trapping his foot and resulting in the fatal incident.
The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
