112 Service Showcased While ‘Moksha’ Van Remains Inoperable For Two Weeks

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Police organized a live demonstration of the national Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) helpline 112 on Sunday. The objective was to enhance public safety awareness.
"If you dial 112, you can get immediate assistance for different emergencies," said Anjani Kumar Tiwari, the person in charge of the City Control Room.
The new centralized helpline is designed to replace multiple emergency numbers, providing a more efficient and organized response system.
Currently, the ‘Moksha’ vehicle used by MGM Hospital to transport deceased patients is not working due to an accident.
Dr. Ravindra Kumar, the superintendent of MGM, has issued a warning to Furida Agency regarding the delayed repairs. He has stated that appropriate action will be taken.
"We have an agreement that the agency will take care of repairing the damaged vehicle," Dr. Kumar emphasized.
Many families are dealing with higher expenses for ambulance services from outside providers because the vehicles are not available.
This situation highlights the contrast between the improved emergency response capabilities and the ongoing challenges faced by healthcare infrastructure.
