Mock Drill Conducted to Tackle Waterlogging at Jugsalai Underpass

Engineering Department Demonstrates Preparedness for Monsoon Challenges

A mock drill was conducted by the engineering department team at Jugsalai Underpass in Jamshedpur to address the waterlogging issue and raise awareness among the public.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, the engineering department team conducted a mock drill at Jugsalai Underpass to showcase their preparedness in tackling waterlogging during the monsoon season.

The team, led by Ranjit Kumar from the railway engineering department, demonstrated their strategies near the underpass.

They explained that with the onset of monsoon, waterlogging at the Jugsalai station’s main road railway underpass causes significant inconvenience to pedestrians.

However, this year, the team is ready to address the issue effectively.

During the drill, they showed how accumulated water would be removed using machines, ensuring that traffic through the underpass resumes as quickly as possible.

Ranjit Kumar said, "Our team is well-prepared to manage waterlogging this year. The mock drill was conducted to educate the public on our preparedness."

The demonstration highlighted the importance of proactive measures in mitigating monsoon-related disruptions.

The public appreciated the team’s efforts and expressed hope that the underpass would remain accessible during the rainy season.

The engineering department assured continuous monitoring and quick response to any waterlogging incidents.

The initiative aims to enhance public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow during the monsoon.
