Adityapur Residents Demand Immediate Solutions to Water Scarcity
In response to the ongoing water crisis, BJP members staged a strong protest at the Adityapur Municipal Corporation office on Saturday.
JAMSHEDPUR – BJP members staged a strong protest at the Adityapur Municipal Corporation office on Saturday, demanding immediate solutions to the water crisis affecting the area.
Although Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri was expected to attend, he could not make it due to unforeseen circumstances.
The protest was led by District President Uday Singh Deo, with key participation from District In-charge Subodh Kumar Guddu.
District President Uday Singh Deo accused the municipal administration of deep-seated corruption, highlighting that the public is suffering severely due to the water shortage.
He also criticized the administration for imposing increased holding taxes and neglecting proper sanitation.
Warning of Escalation
The protest served as a warning to the municipal administration to resolve the water issue promptly.
BJP leader Ganesh Mahali warned that the party would not remain silent if the problems persisted.
"If the issues are not resolved, we will escalate our protests from the streets to the legislative assembly," Mahali asserted.
He emphasized his decade-long commitment to public issues and expressed disappointment that the local MLA, who is now the state’s Chief Minister, has failed to address the water crisis.
Public Outrage
Mahali stated that the public will remember and respond to this neglect.
The protest was attended by several prominent BJP leaders, including former Deputy Mayor of Adityapur Municipal Corporation Ramesh Hansda, Amit Singh, Kumud Ranjan, Lalan Tiwari, Rakesh Mishra, Rakesh Singh, Krishna Murari Jha, Lalan Shukla, Amitesh Amar, Vidyasagar Dubey, Abhishek Gupta Sawan, Ashok Singh, Pawan Mahto, Vijay Kumar, former councilor Borjo Ram Hansda, Rajrani Mahto, Abhijeet Mahto, Neel Padma Vishwas, Julie Mahto, Ranjan Singh, Prabhasini Kalundia, Nathuni Singh, and Rinku Rai, among others.
Hundreds of local women also participated in the protest.

The BJP’s protest reflects the growing frustration among Adityapur residents over the lack of essential services.
