XLRI community demonstrates commitment to social responsibility through successful fundraising initiative.

JAMSHEDPUR – The XLRI community has once again showcased its dedication to social causes by raising over 2.1 lakh rupees through a Silent Auction organized by the CII Yi committee.

This marks the third consecutive year of this philanthropic endeavor, with the funds being donated to the Friends of Tribal Society.

President Rajesh Mittal and Abhishek Garg were present to receive the cheque on behalf of the organization.

The auction saw widespread participation from the XLRI community, including students, committees, and faculty members.

Items up for bid included dinners, tutoring sessions, guitar lessons, books, and paintings, all offered by community members.

A spokesperson from XLRI stated, "We are delighted and honored to present this amount to the Friends of Tribal Society, an organization that tirelessly works for the upliftment of tribal communities through education in remote areas."

Community Engagement and Support

The entire XLRI community came together to support this cause, with both juniors and seniors actively participating.

All proceeds from the auction are donated, with neither the CII Yi committee nor the item offerers retaining any share.

Smriti Gupta, Secretary of CII Yi at XLRI, expressed gratitude to the Dean Administration and the Associate Dean Student Affairs for their support.

"Their guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in the success of this initiative," Gupta remarked.
