Officials Stress Family Planning as Key to Population Management

Local authorities emphasize community engagement in family planning initiatives.

JAMSHEDPUR – A workshop marking World Population Day was held at the Collectorate Auditorium, focusing on the importance of family planning in managing population growth.

The event brought together key officials and health department representatives to discuss population control strategies.

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, serving as the chief guest, emphasized family planning’s crucial role.

"Family planning remains our most effective tool for population management," Kumar stated during his address.

The "Chhota Parivar Sukhi Parivar" initiative received praise for its ongoing efforts in promoting family planning.

Kumar urged intensified efforts at block and panchayat levels to ensure widespread awareness and participation.

Health officials were encouraged to meet departmental targets, with increased activities planned for June and July.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi and other medical officers contributed to discussions on enhancing program effectiveness.

The workshop highlighted the collective commitment to creating a health-conscious society through family planning.

Participants explored strategies to extend the benefits of family planning across all communities in the district.

The event underscored family planning’s role in achieving sustainable development and improving quality of life.
