Tata UISL to Appoint Consultant for Birsanagar Electricity Project

Efforts Accelerated for Power Supply to Jamshedpur Colonies

Tata UISL accelerates electricity supply to Birsanagar, appointing a consultant after a meeting with MLA Saryu Roy.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata UISL’s Electricity General Manager VP Singh announced the appointment of a consultant to expedite electricity supply to Birsanagar, Jamshedpur.

This announcement came during a meeting with Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy on Tuesday.

VP Singh stated, “The appointment of a consultant will help us address the power needs of Birsanagar and nearby colonies swiftly.”

Colony Power Supply Initiatives

MLA Saryu Roy requested Tata UISL to provide electricity to multiple colonies, including Birsanagar, Moharda, Bagunhatu, Bagunnagar, Baridih Basti, Chhayanagar, Bhuiyandih, Lalbhatta, Babudih, Jamco, Laxmi Nagar, and Gayatrinagar.

In response, VP Singh committed to the rapid selection of substation sites and the commencement of power infrastructure projects in these areas.

Current Progress and Future Plans

VP Singh shared updates on ongoing projects, stating that cable laying for Tata UISL electricity has begun in Moharda and Murakati areas.

Sub-stations are being constructed near the Telco Sewerage Plant, Ramni Kali Temple for Moharda, and near the Bagun Nagar Drug De-addiction Centre for Bagunhatu.

Additionally, LT network work will start in Bhuiyadih with necessary financial recommendations already received.

He also mentioned that Tata UISL is prepared to provide electricity in Chhayanagar, Humepipe, and Kalyannagar, with 28 applications received so far.

Benefits and Directives

Approximately two thousand households will benefit from these efforts, with forms being distributed to residents for new electricity connections.

MLA Saryu Roy directed officials to expedite the network laying in Bagunnagar’s Block ‘B’ and ‘C’.

A new sub-station increasing power capacity from 2 KVA to 10 KVA has been completed in Bagun Nagar, with power already charged.

Future Expansions

The initiative includes extending Tata UISL electricity to ‘D’ Block, Tamba Toli of Bagunnagar, with consent obtained to begin work.

Physical verification for the construction of electricity networks and sub-stations in Jamco, Lakshmi Nagar, and Gayatrinagar will occur soon.

Additionally, Tata UISL will install high mast and street lights in Number 10 Basti, Kashidih, and Sitaramdera.

Meeting Participants

The meeting saw the presence of the Executive Engineer of Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited, representatives from Tata UISL, Jamshedpur Akshes, and MLA Saryu Rai’s personal secretary Sudhir Singh, among other officials.

The coordinated efforts between Tata UISL and local authorities aim to significantly improve the electricity infrastructure and supply in Jamshedpur’s key areas.
