JAMSHEDPUR – Ranjit Lohara, the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC), carried out a comprehensive review of all ongoing schemes, seeking updates from officers on the status of various projects.
Accelerating Housing Projects
Lohara issued instructions to expedite the construction of pending houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, setting a deadline of one month.
Progress on Urban Livelihood Mission
Directives were also given to speed up the work under the Deendayal Antyoday Yojna National Urban Livelihood Mission.
This includes the distribution of vending certificates and smart cards to street vendors.
Shelter Home Operations
Lohara emphasized the need to continue the operations of shelter homes to ensure urban homeless individuals, especially women, are accommodated and protected from the extreme heat.
Job Allocation and Infrastructure
Under the Chief Minister Shramik Yojna, eligible beneficiaries were instructed to fill out job card applications, with work allocation based on demand.
Review of Funded Schemes and Cleaning Projects
Schemes funded through MLA funds and the 15th Finance Commission were thoroughly reviewed.
Lohara assessed the cleaning of major drains, instructing that both small and large drains be cleaned within a week.
Water Supply and Operational Efficiency
Ongoing cleaning activities within the Municipal Corporation area were reviewed, with daily monitoring of water provision through tankers to ensure adequate supply in affected areas.
Birth and Death Registration
The registration process for births and deaths was scrutinized, with a directive to expedite applications for timely issuance of certificates.
Assessment of Cleaning Vehicles
The operational aspects of vehicles used for cleaning, such as tippers, compactors, JCBs, and tractors, were also assessed.
Adherence to Timelines
Lohara instructed all officers and employees to adhere to prescribed timelines for completing allocated tasks and scheme-related activities.
