Campaign Focuses on Environmental Care, Child Labor, and Child Marriage Awareness
Adarsh Seva Sansthan’s five-day environment protection programme, organized by the children’s wing, Youth Club, concluded with a Nukkad Natak on the ill effects of child marriage.
JAMSHEDPUR – The environment protection programme organized by Adarsh Seva Sansthan’s Youth Club ended with a powerful Nukkad Natak highlighting the negative impacts of child marriage.
The event, held at the Community Centre in Das Basti, Burmamines, featured chief guests including Burmamines PS OC Alok Dubey, SI Santosh Dubey, Mukesh Kumar, Lakhi Das of Adarsh Seva Sansthan, and Vikas Srivastava.
During the campaign, children raised awareness about environmental protection, child labor, and child marriage through street plays and signature campaigns.
Participants, including children from Burmamines Das Basti and those associated with the organization, took part in slogan and article writing and poster-painting competitions.
Chief guest Alok Dubey expressed his admiration for the children’s efforts, stating that those involved in the Nukkad Natak and present at the event would be protected from the social evil of child marriage and encouraged to spread awareness against it.
He also praised the children’s slogans and poster paintings.
The winners of various competitions were honored with prizes, with the program anchored by Rajesh Kumar and graced by Alpana Das, Pooja Pramanik, Rinku Pal, and Reena Dutta.
Prize winners in painting included Megha (first), Saraswati (second), Sangeeta and Som (third), and Ganga and Anjali (consolation prizes).
In slogan writing, the winners were Tanya (first), Rinki Pal (second), Ladli (third), and Saraswati (consolation).
For article writing, Seema Gope secured first place, Rinki Pal second, and Kareena Karmakar third.
During the campaign, children also conducted a signature campaign, where many people pledged to conserve wind and plant saplings using the seed ball method.
The children prepared seed balls with seeds of various fruit trees, which will be planted at different locations during the monsoon.
