Jamshedpur Faces Power Cuts for Maintenance

Residents to Experience Scheduled Outages for Pre-Monsoon Preparations

Power cuts aim to ensure reliable electricity supply during monsoon season.

JAMSHEDPUR – People living in Jamshedpur will experience planned power outages lasting for three to four hours every day for the next 10 days. This is being done as part of the electricity department’s efforts to carry out maintenance work before the monsoon season.

We have prepared a detailed schedule that will impact each feeder for a maximum of two days. The schedule mainly covers the morning to afternoon period.

Power cuts are necessary so that important maintenance tasks can be done. These tasks include trimming trees and branches near transformers, as well as replacing worn-out wires and equipment.

In order to minimize disruptions during the storm and rainy season, the electricity department has formed teams for each division. These teams will be able to respond quickly to any emergency situations that may arise.

Shravan Kumar, who is the General Manager of the Jamshedpur Area Board, emphasized the importance of clearing power lines before the monsoon season starts.

The authorities have instructed executive engineers in all electricity divisions to carry out special maintenance tasks, such as trimming tree branches around wires, within the next 10 days.
