Villagers Face Water Shortage as Power Outage Continues for a Month

A damaged 25 KV transformer in Bhalukkhuliya village, Pathra Panchayat, Baharagora block, has left residents without electricity for the past month, causing severe drinking water shortages.

JAMSHEDPUR – For the past month, villagers in Bhalukkhuliya, Pathra Panchayat, Baharagora block, have been living in darkness due to a damaged 25 KV transformer.

The lack of electricity has also led to a severe shortage of drinking water, adding to the villagers’ woes.

Women from the village informed Fulmani Murmu, the Zila Parishad member of the area, about the ongoing problem and demanded an immediate solution.

In response, Fulmani Murmu contacted the concerned department officer, urging them to provide a new transformer to restore electricity to the village.

The villagers expressed their frustration and the hardships they face daily due to the power outage.

Present during the discussion were Dhani Tudu, Pano Tudu, Malti Soren, Panmuni Tudu, Sombari Tudu, Joba Tudu, Pani Tudu, Romni Tudu, Shiv Tudu, Gurubari Tudu, Gaya Ram Tudu, Parvati Tudu, Gauri Tudu, Karan Soren, and others.

"We have been living without electricity and adequate water supply for too long. We hope the authorities will act swiftly to resolve this issue," said one of the villagers.

The Zila Parishad member assured the villagers that efforts are being made to expedite the replacement of the damaged transformer.
