Congress Celebrates Kali Charan Munda’s Lead in Khunti as BJP Faces Setback

Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur highlighted the nation’s trust in the promises and guarantees made by Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

RANCHI – Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur emphasized the country’s faith in Rahul Gandhi’s commitments made during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

Thakur pointed out that Rahul Gandhi’s direct engagement with the people’s issues through these yatras has instilled confidence in the guarantees he provided.

He mentioned that despite the BJP not achieving a decisive majority, they are attempting to form a government, and Congress is also making significant efforts in this direction.

Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc candidate Kali Charan Munda from the Khunti seat is on the path to victory, leading by 135,186 votes.

Celebrations have erupted among Congress workers, with crackers being burst in anticipation of the win.

Minister Rameshwar Oraon has arrived to support and encourage Kali Charan Munda.

In contrast, BJP candidate and former union minister Arjun Munda is trailing by a substantial margin.

Arjun Munda, who won the 2019 election by a narrow margin of 1,445 votes, now faces a significant setback.

The developments in Khunti reflect a shift in voter sentiment and the impact of Rahul Gandhi’s outreach efforts.

Congress leaders are optimistic about forming the government, bolstered by the growing support for their candidates.
