Jamshedpur to Enhance Police Presence with New Outposts

Strategic Deployment of Additional Police Outposts Aims to Curb Rising Crime Rates

In an effort to curb rising crime rates, the district is set to increase its police presence by establishing new outposts across major police stations.

JAMSHEDPUR – The district is looking to enhance its law enforcement efforts by adding more police outposts, which will serve as additional police stations.

We are currently working on a detailed project to map out all police stations. Our goal is to create a more efficient system by dividing larger police station areas into two zones.

This division will be based on population density and geographical expanse, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

At present, the district has three assistant police stations: Ulidih, Galudih, and Maubhandaar. The registration of FIRs is centralized in their main police stations.

The new proposal suggests setting up four more outposts, with initial assessments identifying MGM, Jugsalai, Burmamines, and Ghatshila as potential locations for deployment.

Every outpost will have three patrol vehicles and two Tiger mobile units to make sure their designated areas are under constant surveillance.

This strategic deployment is designed to speed up investigations, simplify charge sheet submissions, and improve overall police patrolling.

The outpost model incorporates the operational structure of a fully equipped police station, making it easier to quickly catch criminals.

Outposts have become necessary due to the growing number of people and the increasing number of complaints. These factors have caused delays in conducting investigations on site.

By establishing outposts, we can ensure that site inspections are carried out promptly, which will help speed up the judicial process from the initial case reporting all the way to the dispensing of justice.

The authorization for FIRs will continue to be centralized, which will help facilitate smooth coordination between assistant police stations and main police stations. This will further strengthen the capabilities of law enforcement.

This initiative aims to greatly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the district’s police force in tackling crime and ensuring the safety of the public.
