Police Raid Near Mango Fish Market Leads to Drug Seizure
In a significant bust, police arrested three individuals near the Mango fish market in Jamshedpur, seizing 38 packets of brown sugar.
JAMSHEDPUR – Police raided the area near the fish market under Mango police station and arrested three people with 38 packets of brown sugar.
The arrested individuals are Jitendra Prasad Gupta, a resident of Uliidih Shankosai, Vijay Gorai, a resident of Daigutu, and Rahul Tantubai, a resident of Mango Punjabi Line.
DSP Headquarters 1 Bhola Prasad Singh provided information about the case, stating that the police had received secret information on Tuesday about youths selling brown sugar in the area.
Following this tip-off, the police conducted a raid and apprehended the three youths.
During the search, 20 packets of brown sugar were recovered from Jitendra, 10 from Vijay, and 8 from Rahul.
Additionally, the police seized Rs 3190 in cash and three mobile phones.
During interrogation, the three admitted to bringing brown sugar to sell, with each packet being sold for Rs 200.
The arrests and drug seizure are part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
