Underprivileged Students From Ghatshila Subdivision Shine In Veer Shaheed Ganesh Hansda Fellowship

All five students in the 2022 third batch of the Veer Shaheed Ganesh Hansda Fellowship successfully passed their 12th-grade exams.

JAMSHEDPUR – The perseverance of underprivileged students in the Faculty of Science at Ghatshila paid off as all five members of the third batch of the Veer Shaheed Ganesh Hansda Fellowship passed their 12th-grade exams.

Their achievement was celebrated at a ceremony in Kosafalia village, where Sugda Hansda, father of martyr Ganesh Hansda, expressed heartfelt gratitude for their success.

Launched in 2020 by the Nishchay Foundation, the fellowship commemorates Ganesh Hansda, who died defending the nation in the Galwan Valley clash with China.

This initiative provides consistent guidance to rural students to empower them academically.

In the 2024 Jharkhand Intermediate results, four of the five fellowship recipients earned first-division scores, while one secured second division.

Joint toppers Kalyani Thayal from Badiya village and Amrit Mahato from Sonahatu village both achieved 405 marks.

During the celebration, Sugda Hansda presented symbolic gifts, including a corset, a map of India, and a competitive magazine.

He expressed joy in seeing students excel in his son’s honor.

Nishchay founder Tarun Kumar applauded the students’ hard work and urged them to pursue higher education with dedication.

He emphasized developing crucial skills like personality development and time management.

After the ceremony, the fellowship team visited the students’ homes to provide further guidance on academic and career options.

Parents showed their appreciation for the financial support that enabled their children’s education.
