In a significant show of solidarity, Samir Mohanty, the JMM MLA from Baharagora, officially filed his nomination for the Lok Sabha seat representing the India Alliance. The event, characterized by its high-profile attendees and fervent speeches, underscored the Grand Alliance’s commitment to contest the upcoming elections with vigor and unity.

JAMSHEDPUR – In an enthusiastic gathering at Bodhi Maidan in Jamshedpur, Samir Mohanty stepped forward as the India Alliance’s candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The nomination event was marked by the presence of key political figures, including Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and Minister Banna Gupta.

Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi, along with prominent leaders from the Grand Alliance parties such as the Congress, RJD, and CPI, also attended the rally.

Before filing his nomination, Mohanty participated in a puja at his home, surrounded by his family, highlighting the personal and communal support bolstering his campaign.

A United Front

Chief Minister Champai Soren expressed strong confidence in the Grand Alliance during the rally.

“A grand alliance government is imminent, and we stand united and robust, ready to contest with full strength,” Soren declared after Mohanty’s nomination.

He also dismissed concerns about external influences swaying the election, referencing PM Modi’s visit to Chaibasa and asserting its non-impact on their campaign.

JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya vocally supported Mohanty, criticizing the current national government and projecting a victory for Mohanty.

Bhattacharya’s fiery remarks included criticisms of the BJP’s record on women’s safety and governance, casting the India Alliance as a beacon of change.

He confidently stated, “The people of Jamshedpur are ready for change, and nothing can stop Sameer Mohanty from winning.

Community Support and Political Pledges

The rally at Bodhi Maidan was not just a political formality but a vibrant pledge by the attendees to ensure Mohanty’s victory.

Thousands from across urban and rural Jamshedpur congregated, signaling widespread local support for Mohanty’s candidacy.

Leaders and supporters alike committed to a rigorous campaign, aiming to bring substantial change to their community through the electoral process.

This event not only marked a pivotal moment in Mohanty’s political career but also set the tone for a highly contested battle for the Lok Sabha seat in Jamshedpur.
