Heat wave sweeps Jharkhand with a yellow alert issued for the upcoming days

A heat wave has swept across Jharkhand, particularly affecting the Kolhan region. Godda has experienced the highest temperatures in the state, recording a staggering 44.1 degrees Celsius.

JAMSHEDPUR – A heat wave has swept across Jharkhand, particularly affecting the Kolhan region. Godda has experienced the highest temperatures in the state, recording a staggering 44.1 degrees Celsius.

Other areas in the region have also felt the heat, with Baharagora reaching 43.7 degrees and Seraikela at 43.4 degrees. Jamshedpur recorded temperatures as high as 42.6 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has responded by issuing a yellow alert, indicating that the heat is expected to persist for the next few days.

The alert covers multiple districts, including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan in Kolhan, as well as Bokaro and Dhanbad in North Chhotanagpur. The Santal division’s districts, such as Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Godda, and Sahibganj, are also on high alert.

Residents are being urged to take necessary precautions as the temperatures are projected to rise further in the near future.
