Criminals Detained After Firing Near Golmuri, Two Others Still At Large
Jamshedpur police have apprehended two individuals linked to a recent shooting near Golmuri Cable Town, with two more suspects currently being sought.
JAMSHEDPUR – Following a shooting incident near Golmuri Cable Town on Tuesday, local police have successfully arrested two individuals and charged them with the crime, while continuing their search for two additional suspects.
The arrested, identified as Sumit Kumar Yadav alias Mudi from Govindpur and Vicky Singh from Tuiladumri, were found in possession of a country-made pistol, a magazine, and a live bullet.
CT SP Mukesh Lunayat detailed that the arrests followed a complaint lodged by Sandeep Singh, who was targeted in the shooting.
A collaborative effort between Golmuri and other local police stations led to the swift apprehension of the suspects on Monday.
During interrogation, Yadav and Singh confessed to the shooting, stating their intent was to spread panic in the area.
It was also revealed that the motive behind the attack was a suspicion that Sandeep Singh had been informing the police about iron theft activities.
The two arrested have a history of criminal activities and have been previously incarcerated.
Efforts to locate the remaining suspects are ongoing as the police work to fully resolve the case.
