JAMSHEDPUR – World Earth Day was marked with enthusiasm at Sonari Ashiana Garden in Jamshedpur, focusing on environmental consciousness and sustainability.
The event, led by Suresh Sonthalia, President of the Ashiana Garden Owner Association, emphasized the urgent need for environmental protection and awareness.
Sonthalia highlighted the detrimental effects of plastic on both the environment and human health, noting its ubiquitous presence in homes, from storage containers to water bottles.
The celebration, held annually on April 22nd, advocates for significant environmental actions, including the reduction of plastic usage to safeguard the earth and public health.
During the event, a march was organized within the community to educate and encourage residents toward a plastic-free environment.
Members of the Ashiana family, including Secretary Peona Ghosh, Vinod Sahu, and others, took a collective oath to eliminate plastic from their colony and stressed the importance of water conservation.
