CHAIBASA – In a major law enforcement operation, the Chaibasa Police, led by SP Ashutosh Shekhar, have arrested two key figures from the banned Naxalite group PLFI.

The arrests include area commander Soma Hembram, also known as Najom, and his associate Birsa Khandait, captured near Chitir Hill in the Goilkera police station area.

Recovered from the duo were two AK-47 rifles, nine magazines, 188 rounds of live ammunition, 50,000 rupees in cash, and a mobile phone.
