Srinath University Hosts Event to Bolster Voter Turnout

Srinath University’s ‘Voter Awareness Program 2024’ in Adityapur on April 10 aims to inspire especially first-time voters to participate thoughtfully in elections.

JAMSHEDPUR – Srinath University’s ‘Voter Awareness Program 2024’ in Adityapur on April 10 marks a significant effort to inspire especially first-time voters to participate thoughtfully in elections.

The gathering included Sukhdev Mahto, Chancellor, Prof. Dr. S.N. Singh, Vice Chancellor, J Rajesh, Dean of Administration, faculty members, and students, all united in their commitment to uphold fair voting practices.

The National Service Scheme played a pivotal role in promoting electoral responsibility through a voter awareness rally.

Students presented an overview of voter awareness activities, reflecting the university’s dedication to fostering electoral duty, including debates, wall paintings, and essay competitions.

Certificates were awarded to students who stood out in various contests, acknowledging their contributions to spreading voter awareness over the month-long campaign.

Adityapur Municipal Commissioner, Alok Kumar Dubey, along with other dignitaries, was welcomed and recognized for their participation in enhancing the electoral process.

Dubey, along with Assistant Municipal Commissioners Abhishek Kumar and Shambhu Prasad Kushwaha, and City Managers Devashish Pradhan and Vikas Kumar Shukla, commended the university’s efforts in planning the event and stressed the importance of active democratic engagement.

The event saw Alok Kumar Dubey, the chief guest and Adityapur Municipal Commissioner, highlight the Election Commission’s dedication to increasing voter turnout and the essential role of voter participation in democracy.
