East Singhbhum Excels in Healthcare Scheme

Ayushman Bharat: East Singhbhum Second Highest Beneficiary

East Singhbhum residents have significantly benefited from the Ayushman Bharat scheme, ranking second in the state.

JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum stands as a leading beneficiary in the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme, with 1,66,078 individuals availing its benefits, following Ranchi’s lead.

In terms of Ayushman card enrollment, 8,38,897 people in East Singhbhum have secured their cards, placing the district second in the state.

The district boasts 46 hospitals affiliated with the Ayushman Bharat scheme, although seven have not treated any patients since their registration.

A notable effort has been observed in five of these hospitals, which have been actively treating patients over the past six months.

Despite the advantages offered by the scheme, an average of 1800 people daily have faced challenges in obtaining Ayushman cards in the last five days.

Ayushman Bharat provides families with free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, highlighting its significance in improving healthcare accessibility.

However, districts like Khunti, Simdega, Pakur, Jamtara, and Latehar are yet to fully utilize the scheme’s benefits, with residents facing hurdles in accessing the provided healthcare services.

East Singhbhum’s achievement in healthcare accessibility through the Ayushman Bharat scheme showcases a successful model for others to follow.
