Police seize over 20kg of ganja in Kadma, Jamshedpur; smuggler jailed
In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Jamshedpur police arrested a 35-year-old smuggler, S Kumar Singh, last Monday, seizing 20.900 kg of ganja along with other items from his residence near the Kali temple of Kadma Ramjanmnagar.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur police achieved a major success in their ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities, arresting S Kumar Singh with a substantial quantity of ganja during a raid in Kadma.
The operation, which led to the seizure of 20.900 kg of ganja (marijuana), a digital scale, and an iPhone, took place in a house located near the Kali temple of Kadma Ramjanmnagar.
Jamshedpur SSP Kishore, spearheading the initiative, highlighted the importance of the operation, noting that Singh was involved in the large-scale buying and selling of ganja from his residence.
The raid was conducted by a team formed under the leadership of SSP Kishore, with Jamshedpur SDO Parul Singh also participating in the operation.
This arrest is part of a broader campaign led by the SSP to combat illegal activities, including the trade of illegal liquor, which has resulted in the arrest of 16 criminals across 14 cases following the implementation of the code of conduct.
The continued efforts of the Jamshedpur police underline their commitment to eradicating illegal drug and liquor trafficking, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
