Fire Averted at TMH, No Damage or Casualty

No casualties reported in fire incident at prestigious East Singhbhum hospital

A fire incident at Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur on Holi was swiftly controlled, ensuring no harm to patients or property.

JAMSHEDPUR – A significant crisis was averted at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur, as firefighters promptly managed a fire outbreak, preventing any casualties or property damage.

Tata Steel has emphasized the safety and well-being of all stakeholders, ensuring the situation was quickly brought under control.

Patients in the vicinity of the incident, specifically from wards 8A and 8B, were moved to safer areas as a precautionary measure, demonstrating effective emergency protocols.

The fire, which broke out in a doctor’s chamber adjacent to Ward 8A at around 6 PM on Tuesday, 26 March, was contained swiftly by the arriving firefighting team.

Initial investigations suggest a short circuit in the air conditioning unit of the doctor’s room as a probable cause, though a detailed inquiry into the fire’s origins is still ongoing.

The incident took place in the most esteemed private healthcare institution in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, causing temporary disruption during the Holi celebrations.
