Large python spotted in drain prompts calls for Forest Department intervention in Jamshedpur
Concerns arise among DC office employees over the safe relocation of the reptile.
JAMSHEDPUR – An unusual visitor caused quite a stir at the DC office complex on Sunday, as employees discovered a large python lurking within the premises, specifically moving through a drain adjacent to the bank bordering the complex.
The sighting of the reptile sparked immediate concerns among the staff, leading to discussions on the best course of action to ensure the python’s safe relocation. Witnesses reported that some employees considered rescuing the python and began the search for contact details of the Forest Department officials to assist in the matter.
However, the effort to address the situation was hampered by the absence of most officers and staff from the office, given that the sighting occurred on a Sunday, resulting in the situation being confined to discussions only.
The presence of the python within the office complex highlights the need for preparedness in handling wildlife encounters in urban settings, especially in areas adjacent to natural habitats.
