Kolhan DIG Reviews Election Preparedness in Seraikela

Police geared up for fair Lok Sabha elections with special focus on sensitive booths

Kolhan DIG Manoj Ratan conducted a critical review meeting in Seraikela, emphasizing the readiness of the district police for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and outlining important guidelines for managing sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations.

SERAIKELA – The meeting, which saw the participation of SP Manish Toppo, the SDPOs of Chandil and Seraikela, and officers from all police stations, underscored the commitment to ensuring a fair and orderly election process across the three Lok Sabha seats in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

Recognizing the unique challenges posed by Naxal-affected areas and the district’s proximity to state borders, DIG Manoj Ratan outlined strategic measures to enhance security and ensure voter safety during the elections, which are scheduled to take place in two phases.

The identification and strict monitoring of sensitive and highly sensitive polling booths were highlighted as a priority, with additional police personnel to be deployed to these areas as part of comprehensive election security plans.

This initiative reflects the district police’s dedication to upholding the integrity of the electoral process, demonstrating thorough preparations and a proactive approach to addressing potential security concerns.

The review meeting not only reaffirmed the readiness of law enforcement to manage the elections effectively but also marked a significant step towards ensuring that the democratic process is conducted smoothly and without disruption.
