JAMSHEDPUR – Ghasiram Manjhi and Saraswati Manjhi, siblings from Tangrain village, have preserved a longstanding tradition of philanthropy by donating land to the upgraded middle school Tangrain, under Potka block.

This land, detailed as tafseel mouza – Tangrain, with specific identifiers, was bequeathed for the expansion of educational facilities, honoring their late father Lodo Santhal’s legacy.

The donated plot, strategically located adjacent to the existing school premises, encompasses an area of 12 decimals, aiming to enhance the school’s infrastructure and thereby, the educational prospects for many children in the locality.

The official handover of the donation was made to school headmaster Arbind Tiwari and management committee chairman Mangala Manjhi, witnessed by a gathering of community members, educators, and students, thereby cementing the donors’ commitment to their community’s future.

The presence of notable individuals, including land surveyor Ujjwal Kumar Mandal and various community members, underscored the significance of this gesture, reflecting a communal spirit of support for education.

This act of kindness not only contributes to the educational development of the region but also serves as a beacon of hope, reminding others of the profound impact of giving back to the community.
