Jamshedpur Man Commits Suicide Amid Job Crisis

23-year-old P Singh’s suicide in Jamshedpur highlights the grim reality of unemployment and mental stress

In a heart-wrenching incident in Jamshedpur, 23-year-old Prince Singh took his own life, leaving behind a family grappling with the loss and highlighting the pressures of unemployment.

JAMSHEDPUR – Post mortem of Prince Singh is scheduled for Monday, following his tragic suicide on Sunday evening due to unemployment-induced stress.

The local police have been informed, and Prince’s body is currently in the cold storage at MGM Hospital awaiting further procedures.

Prince, who had been unemployed for the last 15 days, was the sole breadwinner for his family after the demise of his father.

His mother, Balwinder Kaur, discovered the heartbreaking scene upon returning home from Mahila Samiti, finding the room locked from the inside.

Neighbors had to break down the door after which Prince was found hanging, leading to immediate, yet futile, attempts to save him at MGM Hospital.

The incident occurred while Prince’s mother and sisters were away, leaving him alone at their residence in Turiyabeda, under the Mango MGM police station jurisdiction.

Prince Singh’s untimely death sheds light on the devastating impact of joblessness and mental health issues among the youth in Jamshedpur.
