Jamshedpur moves towards sustainable living with the introduction of a biogas waste management system, spearheaded by Tata Steel UISL for city-wide use.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL MD Ritu Raj Sinha inaugurated the biogas waste management system at the Pod & Beyond Smart Hotel, Bistupur.

The partnership between the Jamshedpur Hotel and Restaurant Association (JHRA) and Tata Steel UISL introduces a biogas waste management system at Pod & Beyond Smart Hotel. This initiative, part of a broader environmental goal, transforms waste into energy, contributing to the Swachh Bharat mission.

The collaboration aims to equip the hospitality sector with sustainable waste solutions. The integration of the biogas system in Hotel Madrasi highlights the industry’s role in promoting green energy. This approach significantly reduces reliance on conventional fuels, offering a template for other sectors.

Ritu Raj Sinha has proposed expanding the biogas system to residential areas. This move is expected to address waste management at its source, providing households with an alternative energy source. The initiative envisions Jamshedpur as a leader in environmental sustainability.
