Teenager’s Suspected Suicide Highlights Struggles of Economically Challenged Families

A Dutta’s untimely death in Jamshedpur brings to light the pressing issues facing vulnerable community members.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a heart-wrenching incident, 15-year-old A Dutta of Sankosai Road No 1, under Mango Police Station jurisdiction, took her own life.

A class XI student at Sakchi CM School of Excellence, Asha was found by her family and urgently taken to MGM Hospital, where she was declared deceased.

Coming from a family grappling with economic hardships, A Dutta’s life was marked by the loss of her father during her childhood.

Her mother, the family’s sole provider, discovered her daughter in an unresponsive state upon returning home.

The tragedy has left her family, including two sisters and a brother employed in Ranchi, in profound grief.

A possible disagreement with her mother before the incident has been hinted at as a contributing factor to A Dutta’s drastic action.

This tragic event underscores the critical need for community support and mental health resources for those in economic and emotional distress.
