Jharkhand Governor Remarks on ED’s Action Against CM Soren

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan emphasized the impartiality of law and expressed concerns over the state’s law and order, in light of the Enforcement Directorate’s actions against CM Hemant Soren.

RANCHI – Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan issued a statement regarding the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions against Chief Minister Hemant Soren, emphasizing the universality of law.

He stressed that if Soren is not responding today, he will inevitably have to do so in the future, affirming that the law applies equally to everyone.

Governor Radhakrishnan remarked on the state’s close monitoring of political activities and assured that any necessary legal actions would be undertaken.

While acknowledging limited knowledge about the specifics of ED’s actions, the Governor noted that the agency operates under its own rules and authority.

Governor Radhakrishnan expressed concern over the poor law and order situation in Jharkhand, a sentiment he has voiced repeatedly.

As the state’s custodian, he assured ongoing vigilance over political developments and the readiness to take legal actions as required.

Responding to JMM’s protests against the ED’s actions in the state, Radhakrishnan opined that such involvement creates unnecessary tensions and asserted that no one is above the law.

The Governor’s comments underline the need for adherence to legal processes and a focus on maintaining state stability amidst political turmoil.

His statements reflect a stance of neutrality and responsibility towards ensuring lawful governance and addressing the concerns of law and order in Jharkhand.
